The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 comes as the successor to the hugely
popular Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.
Display
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features the same 6.3-inch IPS LCD
that is in the 2019 s Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The display has a
Full HD+ resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5
protection. There is a U-shaped notch at the top of the display that houses the

Camera
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has features four rear cameras - a
48MP primary camera with phase-detection autofocus, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a
2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The primary camera can capture images
with background blur, and it can record 4K videos as well. Front-facing camera
remains the same as that of the Redmi Note 7 - a 13MP unit with Full HD video
recording.
Performance
Almost all Redmi Note series smartphones up until now have
used a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The Redmi Note 8 is no different as it
features the Snapdragon 665 SoC. This chipset has four Kryo 260 Gold cores
clocked at 2.0GHz and four Kryo 260 Silver cores clocked at 1.8GHz, and an
Adreno 610 GPU. The device comes in multiple memory configurations, and this particular
variant has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The Redmi Note 8 features Android 9
Pie OS with MIUI 10 customization.
Battery and Connectivity
The Redmi Note 8, like most of its predecessors, packs a
4000mAh battery. The device carries over the 18W Quick Charge 4+ fast charging
from its predecessor as well. Moreover, the connectivity options are similar to
that of the Redmi Note 7 - dual-SIM, dual-4G, dual-VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi ac,
Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Other features of the
Redmi Note 8 include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a splash-resistant
coating.
